“We had an unfinished room above the garage that I could not get my husband to build out. Hoping to change his mind, I asked StudioPopp to create a plan for the space and draw out a design. She took this further and created a photo-realistic 3D picture of what the room could look like along with two space plan options. Most important to us, she had a theme and whole concept for this space.
This complete vision was created via long distance teleconference and email. These drawings and descriptions were so complete that we were able to hand them directly to our contractors for bids and build-out.
I had started with no understanding of design. (Reading Better Homes and Garden was my view.) Victoria expanded on the concepts that I knew from my painting hobby (e.g., warm and cool colors) and taught me basic design principles. She gave me confidence to look, see, and make decisions.
At one point, I melted down on paint choices, but she was able to convey the design intent in an understandable way, thereby suggesting three color pallets with details for exact paints and specific flooring by phone. She also was willing to work completely within my budget, remaining totally professional at every step of the process. The new room is beautiful and peaceful. It really feels like being in the CLOUDS ! “
